Staropramen Brewery - international web sites
A new, interactive website that would provide information about this brand to its users abroad in a humorous way.
Needs
Pivovary Staropramen, the exporter of the beer Staropramen, needed a new website to present the brand to its foreign customers. The foreign version was to be completely different from the Czech version and Prague was to be the chief tool for communication.When analyzing needs, we based our conclusions on information from the export-marketing department and from brand managers in individual countries. We then were able to determine the following needs:
- The close connection between Staropramen and Prague (mysterious and rich in history)
- Entertaining content
- An innovative approach and showing Prague in an unusual way.
The Solution
The project was divided into two fundamental parts: analysis and realization. Research and workshops with the customer took place in the first part. Gradually, individual concepts were prepared for evaluation, from which a final proposal was created which was then technically realized.The website provides not only information on Staropramen, but also entertains and encourages users to visit Prague. On the website, users can find a hand-drawn map of Prague, where the main tourist attractions have been animated in a fun way. An original idea among "brewing websites" was the pronunciation guide, where users can hear the correct pronunciation and record their own. The application then evaluates and compares the two. The brewery history section is also worth mentioning, where historic original photographs from the founding of the brewery were added from its archives. Downloading screensavers and wallpapers is of course also available.
The solution provided is completely in Flash format, which allows for a graphic-rich solution.
