In 1997, Martin and Vašek, friends since high school, wanted to earn some extra money while studying at ČVUT. They founded a company and soon discovered, quite surprisingly, that not only can they make earn a bit of cash, but they can also employ their friends and share their knowledge while having fun working. After 20+ years of success, Etnetera is firmly established as a leader in web portal and application development.
We don’t want to be just digital laborers
We focus on long-term partnerships and finding unique solutions with added value that move our clients forward. Our self-confidence is based on a proven and stable background as well as experience with thousands of demanding projects for clients who are at the top of their industries. We keep our promises and we admit and correct our mistakes. We trust both ourselves and you.
Our team now consists of 150+ people
We work in an liberal and open environment without neckties and process manuals. We’re inspired by the principles of a free company where profits are shared transparently, teams set their own rules, and management doesn’t have any superior benefits. We support each other and play together, whether it be sports or computer games. We belong to one team. So it’s not a coincidence we’ve been named one of the top three Best Employers Czech Republic for four consecutive years where the results are based on opinions of employers and their motivations.
We constantly learning
We use open source solutions for development. We set aside ISO because we don’t need it. We don’t manage projects according to the waterfall model because we believe in an agile approach. We build dedicated teams that are close partners for clients and they spend part of their working day directly working with them.
We share our joy
We help with what we do best — we create and manage web pages for NGOs (Transparency International, Czech Abylimpic Association, Femancipation, and many others). Where brains are not enough, we aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty, such as helping repair a castle or cleaning up flood damage. We’ve developed a long-term relationship with the Leontýnka Foundation and the One-On-One (“Jeden na jednoho”) Society, which help the visually impaired integrate in the society. We also support other charitable projects financially.
